TinyVideo ("we", "us", or "our") operates tinyvid.io, a video compression and optimization service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights — depending on whether you use browser-based or cloud processing.

2. Free Tier — Browser-Based Processing

The Free tier processes video entirely inside your browser using WebAssembly (FFmpeg.wasm). Your video files never leave your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any video content from Free-tier users.

We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage signals (e.g., page views, feature interactions) through standard web analytics to improve the product. No personally identifiable information is attached to these signals.

3. Fast Cloud Processing

When you use Fast Cloud, you upload video files to our servers for faster processing. The following applies:

• Video files are uploaded to our secure servers for processing. Uploaded files are retained on our infrastructure for up to 8 hours after the job completes and are then automatically deleted.
• Account data (email address, hashed password, cloud-time balance, and order history) is stored in our database to provide your account.
• Payment data is handled entirely by Paddle, our merchant of record. We never see or store your card details — we only store the resulting order record (transaction id, amount, and cloud time granted) needed to maintain your balance and order history.
• Email address is used to send account-related communications (e.g., password reset, verification, and processing-complete notifications). We do not send unsolicited marketing email.

We use minimal cookies necessary to maintain your authenticated session. Advertising and anonymous analytics may use cookies or local storage according to their own policies.

6. Third-Party Services

• Google AdSense — advertising. Subject to Google's own privacy terms.
• Paddle — payment processing and merchant of record for cloud-time purchases. Subject to Paddle's own privacy terms.

7. Data Retention

• Pro video uploads: deleted automatically within 8 hours of job completion.
• Account data: retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing us.
• Cloud-time reward records: retained to operate balances and prevent duplicate rewards.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS, hashed passwords, and time-limited file retention to protect your data. No system is completely secure; we will notify affected users promptly in the event of a data breach.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of TinyVideo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
